LONG LIVE THE KING!

Since 2011 the team at Healthy Spirits has worked with our favorite distilleries to acquire exclusive bottlings of their spirits. When this happens we’re also able to get the emptied barrels these unique whiskies were aged in. We then hand these oaken vessels over to our favorite brewers to carefully age their offerings. The result has been a series of amazing bottled beers available only at our stores in very limited quantities.

The newest in this series of exclusive bottlings has just been released! Healthy Spirits and San Francisco’s Triple Voodoo Brewing announce KING LEOPOLD Barrel-Aged Belgian Stout. Black as a rickhouse floor at midnight, this stout features American and European dark malts with a portion of rolled oats to supply the roasty, nutty, and full-bodied granular structure without heaviness on the palate. Belgian yeast ate all the sugars supplied by these grains, leaving behind a dry, clean finish. Oak barrel aging provided extra fermentation and a fleeting hint of woody spice. Limited to a mere ten cases produced, this represents one of the smallest runs of our exclusive ale series offered to our beer-loving patrons, and at $17.99 per twenty-two ounce bottle we’re certain the supply will not last!

In addition to KING LEOPOLD Barrel-Aged Belgian Stout, some of our
previous exclusive bottlings are still available, but supplies are dwindling every day! These include:

Ale Industries SOMEONE TALKED! Imperial stout with coffee - Colorado Gold or Four Roses bourbon-barrel aged variants only: Buffalo Trace has SOLD OUT! $18.99/22oz.

FiftyFifty HEALTHY SPIRITS FIFTEENTH ANNIVERSARY BLEND - Truckee’s masters of barrel-aged imperial ales blended a barleywine with an imperial porter then aged it in our Four Roses bourbon barrel. The result, released in October of last year, is really hitting its stride after resting in glass. $25.99/22oz

Mill Valley Beerworks ESPIRITU OSCURO - also released in celebration of our store’s 15th anniversary, the “Dark Spirit” is a dark Belgian-style ale brewed with spices and smoked sea salt. It was aged in our hand-selected Four Roses Bourbon barrels. They also aged a batch of their fantastic FOUR BROTHERS Belgian-style golden ale in another Four Roses barrel. Both available for now: $13.99/16oz

Telegraph Brewing Company RHINOCEROS Rye-wine - aged in a dry Evan Williams barrel, this rich ale picked up some serious woody spice. $19.99/25.4oz

Moylan’s OLD BLARNEY Barleywine - aged in a re-wet Buffalo Trace barrel that was once filled with Ryan Sullivan’s Imperial Stout for our very first Healthy Spirits exclusive offering. $13.99
